Q: What is Chroma Coalition?
A: Chroma Coalition is a live art exhibit where you are both the artist and the canvas in a festive commemoration to body painting. First class body painters showcase their talents live in addition to open art stations set up throughout the event for all guest to use. A detailed list of activities can be found on our About page.
Q: Why should I go to Chroma Coalition?
A: Body painting is a fine art that often goes unnoticed because it only exists in the moment. Images cannot capture the essence of what it is like to feel and witness it for oneself. Rare is the opportunity where guests can engage with other artists to collectively execute an exhibit as a whole. Chroma means color. Coalition means unity. Together we define the importance of body painting and set the stage for self-expression.
Q: Who goes to Chroma Coalition?
A: Artist from all walks of life. Chroma Coalition attracts creative types from different industries all wishing to express themselves as themselves. The opportunity to share ideas and express those interpretations live is a unique chance to meet interesting people and network under complete visual communication.

The main event is held on the 11th floor where a city skyline serves as the backdrop for the amazing execution of art about to take place. For directions please reference the following address: 860 S. Los Angeles St. LA, CA 90014.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: No. But we ask everyone to realize that you are attending an event in which everyone is allowed to be both the artist and the canvas. Chro.ma Co.a.li.tion is literally an interactive body painting experience. We strictly advise not to wear anything that you wish to preserve in its original state.
Q: Will people be naked?
A: Full nudity is not permitted but bikini briefs are the accepted minimum. For women, the areola must be covered. Feel free to use your creativity.
Q: Is body paint safe?
A: Body paint dries almost instantly. It will not rub off by touch alone and can withstand heavy sweat, but the brand we use is water based and can be easily removed. Body paints are made with all FDA approved non-toxic ingredients.
Q: How do I handle my body paint after the event?
A: You show it off! Body paint is not as messy as it sounds. It dries quickly and will not smear by touch alone. How long you wish to wear your body art is up to you. You cannot shower or remove body art at Chro.ma Co.a.li.tion. If you are concerned about the condition of your transportation, we recommend placing a towel on your car seat or bringing an extra set of clothes. We do not provide any storage or lockers.
